Week #71 - Esperanza

Buena Tarde

Erika got baptized on Saturday!!! (pics below).  The young women sang a special number for her, and the spirit was so strong. Her mom wanted to be there, but forgot that her other daughter had a volleyball game and couldn´t make it. Erika was pretty sad, but with the support of the young women, many of which are the only members in their families, she had a memorable experience. Thankfully her mom came to her confirmation the next day and Erika even bore her testimony and did it sooo well. She is so valiant, and makes me want to share my testimony even more with everyone. It´s SUCH A PRIVILEDGE to be a representative of the Lord!!!

Well, I will OFFICIALLY be finishing my mission here in Esperanza as a sister training leader. That´s half of my mission that I´ve been here in the same place, haha! But I am sooo happy and excited to be finishing with people I love and know so well. We are getting cooked in the sun pretty good out here, but I am loving EVERY SECOND with Sister Terrera and we are seeing miracles!!

I know this work is true, and that the Lord blesses us immediately with peace in our hearts when we obey His commandments. Maybe the results we want to see are not automatic, but He promises us that ¨if ye will repent and harden not your hearts, immediately shall the great plan of redemption be brought about unto you¨. (Alma 34:31) I know this to be true and I know that God calls the imperfect, inexperienced and weak to preach His gospel because He loves us and wants us to have the opportunity to become like Him.
