Week #70 - Esperanza
THIS WEEK WAS AMAZING!!
First off, the mission achieved more baptisms last week than it has ever achieved during a week in the history of our mission - 51!! AND this month we’ve had 102 convert baptisms and confirmations!! We are so blessed as missionaries to have taught and helped each one of these people to accept the restored gospel. I am so happy for all the sisters who have worked SOOO hard this past month to see so many miracles!!
We also felt an earthquake a few nights ago that lasted for a whole minute... it was pretty strong, but we´re all good!!
ALSO, Erika is SUPER excited for her baptism this Saturday!! And ANGEL is progressing SOOO much!! His full name is Angel Jesus Reina Evangelica... what a name! He´s a 13-year old who went to the temple with the young men last week. He is very involved with all the youth activities in the ward. In the waiting room of the temple, he saw the video of Joseph Smith's life and loved it. He also attended seminary this morning, even though he’s only thirteen, because he wanted to learn and be with his friends. He said he had a dream a few nights ago and saw Joseph Smith receiving the priesthood and baptizing his father, and felt like he was there at the time. It’s so crazy how someone so young can be so intent on finding the truth. I know the Lord has something great planned for him.
Here are some pics from my birthday, exchanges and conference! Thank you everyone for the b-day wishes!! Lo pasé MUY bien con mi compañera!!
