Week #67 - Esperanza

HEYYY everyone!! Happy February!!

SO much crazy stuff going on with us, as sister leaders... we had to visit a sister companionship that has been having problems this week in their apartment. After praying with all our hearts to know what to do beforehand, we were able to share some scriptures that helped them refocus on their purpose. I have learned sooo much about the importance of communicating clearly in a relationship and being 100% honest. We should invite others to repent to truly show love for them, and at the same time be willing to repent ourselves. I never thought I´d been learning so much as a sister leader as I am now...but I´m so blessed for the knowledge and understanding the Lord has given me thanks to this calling!

This week was FULL of miracles, especially on Sunday. We only had 11 new people we were teaching up until 9pm on Sunday, and wanted 13. My companion decided that we should pray to find 2 more new people to teach. We walked a little, and came to a street close to our house. We saw a Venezuelan boy sitting in the street and we asked him if he could introduce us to his parents. He got super excited and ran to his house to call his mom. She warmly welcomed us in and her husband and 8 and 12 year-old sons listened closely to us, as we taught a short message on the Restoration. I know God hears and answers our prayers when our hearts are set on achieving our goals and seeing His power in our lives. We felt so satisfied at the end of the day with 15 new people we were teaching who we feel will progress. I will not miss out on the chance now to see miracles even if it´s at 9:30 or ten o´clock at night to achieve our goals with the help of the Lord. Also, a 21-year old member in our ward wanted to accompany us out of the blue because she decided she wants to serve a mission! AND luckily, we had a lesson planned with OTHER Venezuelans that day! We taught the whole family with her present and it was such a good experience for her. Even though she was nervous, she said she felt the sprit so strongly and was so happy she went with us.  GO ACCOMPANY THE MISSIONARIES!!

We plan to extend baptismal dates to Estrella, and to Yahaira and her family, who are Venezuelans we met this week who have time on Sundays! Reider and Rodrigo have baptismal dates. Reider has a lot of friends who were missionaries, one of them being our past mission leader´s wife who recently moved away. But we are excited to see him progress so he can get baptized on the 23rd!

Have a great week! Love you all!!
