Week #55 - Esperanza

Hello everyone!!

Not a lot to say this week, but we ended up finding Freddy’s niece Ticlia knocking on doors, contacting! She said: “Hey, my uncle recently got baptized in that church! His name is Freddy!!” It was pretty cool. Turns out her dad, Freddy´s Brother in law, is a less active member!! FREDDY WAS A MIRACLE. I know on the mission that when we are helping one person find the truth, we are helping GENERATIONS.

We are teaching a family right now and are super excited for them. Just got to get them to church! Alex, Daibis and their daughter Lisbeth. They were the family we found last Sunday night when we were worried about how we were going to reach our goal of finding new investigators.

Sadly, one of the sisters from my group went home this week... it´s the second sister from my group from the CCM that has gone home for health reasons. My comp and I were pretty sad this week because we were going to have exchanges with her and her companion. But the Lord has a plan for everyone and I know she will be okay.

We are working so hard here in Esperanza!! And I´m trying to learn a little bit of Tagalog during the process from my comp, Sister Eli ;) We´re learning to stay calm and be super organized with everything, especially planning the exchanges with the sisters! I love my calling so much, and it has been such a blessing to be a Sister Training Leader, with all the responsibilities and stress we sometimes have, haha. The Lord is pushing me beyond my limits and helping me stay focused on my objective as a missionary by giving me more responsibilities, and I am forever grateful for it.
Have a wonderful week!

pic: A recent convert, Hector, sent us a message today saying.,.. “Sisters, I will be preparing tallerines verdes today. I would be pleased to share some with you.”  Hahah we couldn´t say no... but shoot he gave us SO MUCH! Hector is the best.
