Week #53 - Esperanza
Hola todos!!
This week was soooo great!
Carlos, Oscar and Nicol successfully got baptized this week!! It was
such a beautiful experience I´ll never forget and they all got to
share their wonderful testimonies afterwards which was so special.
They have been able to change their lives completely thanks to our
Savior, Jesus Christ. The pictures I´ll have to send next week of the
baptisms....
Well, yesterday I ate more than I have ever have in my life and I´m
paying for it today hahah... we ate rice and sweet potatoes and
chicken and beets and tamales for the member lunch we had... then we
visited the new convert Carlos with his wife and his mom at night. and
of course, he wanted to cook for us to thank us for teaching him.... on
top of that, when a missionary is with another missionary who is about
to end their mission, they should know that the members are going to
do all they can to feed you until you feel like you´re going to
explode... pretty much feel 15 pounds heavier today after last
night... but I sadly had to leave my companion, Hermana Soldevilla in
the mission office at 6am this morning. She was such an amazing
companion and I learned so much from her sweet, and humble spirit. She
helped me stay calm when I got stressed, and always helped me to stay
smiling. I´m gonna miss her so much!! But NOW I´m SOOOO excited to
announce that my new companion is SISTER ELI FROM THE PHILLIPEANS! She
is the new sister leader here in Esperanza, and she is super
loving, hard working and funny. I know we´ll see sooo many more
miracles here in Esperanza together.
Hector told us this week that he stayed up until 5am listening to
General Conference talks and reading his Book of Mormon and didn´t
want to stop!! We couldn´t believe it when he told us. He said he knew
and felt that Russell M. Nelson was a prophet because he felt like
every time he spoke, he was talking to him personally and felt so
connected to him. He will be getting baptized this Saturday!!
I saw my first pension on the mission this past week on Wednesday!!,
Sister Alcira...We had exchanges and I had to go to Granados, my first
area on the mission!
I hope you all have a great week!!
