Week #51 - Esperanza

The weeks are just flying by now…

This week was crazy! We had three exchanges with the sisters and they went great. Every time we have an exchange, both of the sisters from their area come to ours. That way they are able to learn from our area and get ideas on how to better work with the members of their wards and set other goals. One of the sisters we are in charge of who recently started her mission, sadly went home for health reasons because she wasn´t responding good to the new food and being in a new country. It was really sad but I know the Lord has a plan for her and we will keep her and her family in our prayers. The young men had a contacting activity last Monday, and were able to give us 50 references!! So, we have been looking for these people last week and will continue looking this week.

It was such a blessing to FINALLY see the Sunday session of conference yesterday!! President Nelson has been sooo inspired and I KNOW he is called by God to be our prophet in these times. We heard so many strengthening messages about service and being shepherds and taking upon ourselves the name of Christ, and I have been able to set goals for myself these next few months on my mission.

We were informed that this week we won´t have water every other day in certain parts of Trujillo, and then for 10 days or so we won´t have any... so that will be fun. We have 2 big 20 Lt. jugs of water and three 7 Lt. jugs in our apartment at least.  Gonna be interesting not being able to shower for 10 days... it´ll be like trek all over again haha!

Love you all so much, and am so grateful for your prayers!! Have a wonderful week!

Funny moment this week: Conversation with a 6 year old: ¨Could you tell your dad we're here to visit him? *comes in close to us and whispers: ¨He is hiding under his bed.¨  Classic.....
