Week #30 - Cajamarca
Felíz Día de la Madre!!!!
It was so great to Skype my momma and my fam yesterday. Mothers truly are the most unselfish people on the planet. I´m so beyond blessed to have such a strong mother who constantly sacrifices to help ensure that we´re safe, healthy and happy, and able to reach our potential. It would have been impossible for me to be here on the mission if it weren´t for my mom and her strength, example, and constant love. I love you so much mom, and If I was home I´d give you the biggest hug and kiss ever. HUG AND KISS YOUR MOTHERS KIDS!
This week was pretty interesting because I got super sick Wednesday. After an apt. in the afternoon, we returned back to our apartment and my body was super weak and I had no energy. I stayed back, and my companion called members in the ward to accompany her. No one was available and we were worried about our investigators and what we could do. Finally, Hermana Ortiz came across Sandra´s name in our contacts on our phone, so she called her. When Sandra answered, she was overjoyed, and I wasn´t sure why. She told us: ¨Oh Sister´s, I was just praying for you! How are you? I was just about to call you, but when I finished my prayer, I looked down at my phone, and you were already calling me!¨
It was truly a miracle. When I heard her say these words and I couldn´t believe it. She came by and dropped off some medicine that our nurse said we could buy, then she warmed up my cold feet and hands because I had the chills. She then left with my companion to accompany her the rest of the day. I was so overwhelmed with humility and love for my Savior. I know the Atonement is real, and it´s power and reality manifests itself is amazing ways. When we feel weak, or like our efforts never are enough, the grace of our Savior always makes up for what we lack.
Today Is the end of our six weeks but we don´t have cambios! Hermana Ortiz and I went to pick us Hermana Villca, because her comp left for Trujillo, and today in the afternoon we are going to pick up Hermana Mower, a sister that was in my same group in the CCM!! I´m so excited to see her today. She´s going to be the new comp of Sister Villca.
Well, I got to go, but I hope you all stay healthy and safe! Have a wonderful week!!
